Sunflowers
Often grown as part of a mixture as most of the cover and food source will be gone by the end of September. Helps to attract finches and other wildlife to the cover crop. Sow after mid April when soil temperatures have reached a minimum of 10C.
Dwarf Sunflowers
Shorter and stiffer stemmed hybrid variety growing to an apporximate height of 3feet tall. Sunflowers can attract a vast range of insects and wildlife to the shoot. They can however be difficult to establish. Attention to seedbed cultivation is essential. Must drill into moisture
